March 28, 2012: Today 42,500 pounds (19,038 KG) of dried vegetable soup left California for Lusaka, Zambia. This will produce 750,000 bowls of soup, and a value of $105,000. Included in this shipment were 1,200 Bibles . The number of children we help and support with food has grown from 6,500 to 7,800 in the eighteen Christian schools and orphanages.
March 27, 2012: FTN has received numerous requests from Zambia stating how much the children loved the vegetable soup that has previously been shipped. FTN has sent 6 separate 40 foot containers over the past several years. Thank you Gleanings for the Hungry.
March 20, 2012: FTN received an email from David and Connie Keating, our FTN missionary administrators in Lusaka, that the feeding program is such a success that it has now grown from 6,500 last year to 7,800 children this year of 2012.
March 9, 2012: Another 40 foot container left the USA for a FTN Zambia project. This 43,500 pounds was loaded and shipped out of Raleigh, NC. We thank Stop Hunger Now for partnering with us to help the desperate children that are receiving hot meals each day in the 18 Christian schools and orphanages that we help.
