On December 19, 2011, 35 pallets of MannaPack rice and vegetable meals left the Feed My Starving Children Warehouse by semi-truck for the Minneapolis/St. Paul Reserve Air Force Base. Feeding The Nations working with the Lamia Afghan Foundation will ship the 42,000 pounds of meals through the Untied States Air Force. These meals are now in Charleston AFB, South Carolina and the next stop by air will be Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. The distribution of this food will help 1,000 children and 300 adults living in caves and small villages in the area of Bamyan province. Feeding The Nations has supplied and provided the needy in Afghanistan with 886,000 meals in 2011.
