Helping in Michiana

Feeding The Nations was blessed to donate newborn gifts to two Women’s Care Center locations in Michiana. These donated bags included onesies, wipes, bottles, changing pads and diapers. 

The Women’s Care Center provides pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, parenting classes, nutrition classes, mom and baby classes, all free of charge. They care for the Mother and the child. Every woman receives a self-care gift for herself at her ultrasound as well as something for baby. A community health worker is also available to assist with sign up for various services like WIC and SNAP, public housing and OB referrals. The WCC is a vital community outreach serving hundreds of families in the Michiana area. We were blessed to partner with them. Hurricane Ian Relief

A word from our President, Steve Sumrall: 

Friends, many have asked what FTN is doing to help Florida in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. 

We are grateful to be partnering with Samaritan’s Purse and Bethel Church Cuba. This enables us to be effective immediately! Samaritan’s Purse is mobilized and currently on the ground in Florida with headquarters set up at three local churches in Ft. Meyers, Punta Gorda, and Englewood. They have deployed three huge trucks filled with needed resources and work began Saturday, October 1st. Clean-up is extensive. 

Bethel Church Cuba has activated help and relief to local Pastors and their Cuban Congregations in Cape Coral, Florida. They are also reaching out to First Responders in the area who are working on widespread community recovery and infrastructure assessment. 

 It is a privilege to partner with excellent organizations. By the grace and mercy of God, we believe Florida will recover. Thank you for your giving and your prayers. 

Our Own Story

It all started on Sunday, December 26, 2004, when an earthquake in the Indian Ocean sparked a deadly tsunami that became one of the worst natural disasters in recorded history. The tsunami killed over 230,000 people in 14 nations. Seeing the great need and the opportunity to help, FTN was born in February 2005. Its very first mission was to get vital food and nutrition to those who were affected by the tsunami.

Nearly two decades later, FTN is still committed to sharing the love of God, while bringing the abundance of the developed world to those in critical need in the third world. FTN has reached 75 nations with over $100 million in total goods and services worldwide, including 150 million meals. [Read more here]
