October 31, 2012: As FTN partners again with Root International, a full semi-truckload holding 43,000 pounds of dried peaches and nectarines will be loaded in California. This movement will bring the 1,600 buckets of dried fruit weighing 26 pounds each to the El Paso, TX warehouse. From there the large pails will cross the border and be used in schools, community centers, local churches and several other outreaches.

Afghanistan – October 2012 Update
October 29, 2012:
Feeding The Nations will again partner with Lamia Afghan Foundation to provide food for the needy children in Afghanistan.
Our last outreach was a great success earlier this year. As a result, all partners agreed to work and come together to make this project happen.
Feed My Starving Children agreed to provide 272,160 (42,322 pounds) or 35 pallets of the vitamin enriched, fortified rice and vegetable meals.
Next Feeding The Nations worked with John Bradley Lt. General USAF (Ret.) and his wife Jan. They are the founders of the Lamia Afghan Foundation. General Bradley completed the Denton application which was approved by the government for military support and movement of the cargo.
With the help of Food For Kidz they will truck the food free of charge from Coon Rapids, MN to the MSP 27th Aerial Port Squadron in Minneapolis, MN. From there the USAF will fly the food as space is available to Khairabad, Afghanistan.
Many children, hospitals and feeding centers will receive the food upon arrival. As Feeding The Nations worked the planning of the project you could see God opening door after door. FTN would like to thank all of our friends and partners who make these outreaches possible.
Rwanda – October 2012 Update
October 24, 2012: Container #3 arrived in Kigali and was cleared for distribution.
The reports that are coming in from the 3 refugee camps are amazing. People at the camps are being ministered to by Brother Parfait and his wife Michelle. Praise and worship teams from the Rwandan Church “Authentic Word Ministries” provided the music for the worship team. After the ministry time the food was distributed to the people at the camps. Many had never eaten rice and vegetables before. Normally only beans and corn are eaten. This was a blessing and so many people said, “Thank you for providing this for our families.”
Burundi – October 2012 Update
October 5, 2012: Great news! The 42,000 pounds of food shipped by FTN arrived in Bujumbura on October 5, 2012. Our distribution partners Trinity Church International did a great job working with the Burundi customs to insure no delay. The 40 foot container was off-loaded into the church compound. The food is now being provided to the Feeding Centers so the children will be fed. We are very thankful that old friendships are being renewed after years of lost contact. Feeding The Nations is grateful to Pastors Jamie and Lea Peters for their faithfulness over the years while establishing many churches in several African Nations.
