Zambia – August 2012 Update
August 16, 2012: FTN received a donation from Gleanings for the Hungry of 1,600 (26 pound buckets) of dried peaches and nectarines. FTN has sent this type of food to Zambia before and it is a very big hit with the children. This will be used at orphanages, schools, clinics and feeding centers. The fruit weighs 41,600 pounds or 20.8 tons. This container will have one full pallet of Bibles in addition to the dried fruit.
India – August 2012 Update

Cuba – June through August 2012 Update
June -August 2012 Update
Without our partners and friends around the world, it would be extremely hard to carry out any FTN project. One such partner is First Baptist Church of Woodway, Texas which is also “Cuba Vision Network”. FTN was contacted about possible donations of food for Cuba
For many years FTN has tried to send food into Cuba. Our first and foremost concern was getting the food to the people in need. The red tape on the US and the Cuban governments side always provided many challenges and closed doors.
When we were contacted by the First Baptist Church we asked many questions. Ultimately, we are responsible to our food donors to insure the food clears customs, licenses, correct documentation and distribution plans are in place. After two months of review the decision was made to move forward slowly to insure complete success of the mission.
Our first container with 27,381 pounds of food was shipped on June 27, 2012.
FTN’s second container of 44,116 pounds of food was shipped on August 15, 2012.
Feeding The Nations is extremely pleased to announce that both 40 foot containers arrived safely in Havana, Cuba. The containers were processed and cleared customs without a hitch.
The first container of food was distributed to the local churches and needy families. The second is now being distributed.
We are so thankful to everyone who made this project successful. FTN will provide photos and more information in the next month.
We thank God that a door was opened for FTN and we pray for wisdom on how we may continue to help and bless people in need.
Rwanda – August 2012 Update
August 24, 2012: The 4th container was loaded out of Maryland and left the port of Baltimore on September 3, in transit to Kigali, Rwanda. This brings Feeding The Nations to a total of 1.1 million meals in 2012 for Rwanda. God is so good. Our goal was 1 million meals and we have exceeded that total.
