Our Feeding the Nations Finland office sends regular monthly support to the hungry in Albania. Recently, we received these updates and photos from the beginning of the year. We celebrate the impact this mission is having on those in need, as well as with the local government. 
January 2014 Update
The new year has had a blessed start. In January, we have visited and helped 40 poor families in need. The word around the city has spread that the Christian church is doing a wonderful job to help the needy. Also the local governmental institutions of the city have higher respect, because of the work with the poor. Many times the Mayor’s office and other organizations have knocked on our doors for help and partnership, to help the orphans, widows and handicapped people. The government is still in debt, in order to supply social assistance for the unemployed and the people in need; an assistance which is not enough for food for five days. We witness every day many families knocking hopelessly in the Mayor’s doors, for food, education and other basic needs.
We are very grateful to God to be able, through your abundant generosity, to help and lighten the burden of these families in despair. The team has been working hard, being aware of the importance this ministry holds. Honestly, we cannot find words to describe our gratitude towards you for sharing your incomes with us.
We pray that God opens the gates of heaven for blessings to flow over your families and ministries.
February 2014 Update
February has been a hard working month for the team. 63 families were helped. As every other month, several visits are made to see the conditions and the needs of the community. The team has tried to do its best to reach the families in need, meet them, get to know them and their circumstances and serve them. We have also sent spiritual food to these people to feed their empty, lost souls. The good Gospel has been given to many who had never heard of it. They have been invited to church and we are trying to find ways to evangelize them. The target group this month have been the widows, orphans, handicapped and the families with many children. Some of them have been helped by us before, and they are in our focus to be encouraged to come to church, in cell meetings, etc. We are praying for God to lead us, how we can lead them to Him. The service team is expanding and we are finding ways how to include more people so that we can keep close and continuous contact with the people we help. Visiting them in their homes and in the middle of their despair has been appreciated very much from the families. They have seen our care and we have also prayed for many of them, for their needs, sicknesses, etc.
We thank you very much for helping us and being an important key part of the whole ministry in our community. We are happy to be able to serve our people and to be partners with you in the work of God.
