On November 2, 2011, FTN was blessed with another 285,000 meals and they are now on the way to Zambia. It cost around $12,000 to ship the food but the value of the food inside is about $70,000. We would like to thank Stop Hunger Now for partnering with FTN to help feed the 6,500 children in 17 Christian orphanages and schools. This food will go to Lusaka, the capital city, and surrounding towns and villages.
Zambia – September 2011 Update
On September 19, 2011, FTN loaded and shipped one 40ft container. This container was filled with 271,000 meals weighing 42,322 pounds. The food was donated to Feeding The Nations by Feed My Starving Children and will be arriving in Lusaka, Zambia on 11-21.
On September 3, 2011, a total of 285,000 meals arrived in Lusaka, Zambia to help feed the 6,500 children in 17 Christian schools and orphanages that FTN has committed to help.
Zambia – July 2011 Update
Praise God! The 924,000 bowls of vegetable soup arrived in Lusaka, Zambia on July 15th. This 40 foot container was cleared and off-loaded into our secured compound for distribution. The 6,200 children in 17 orphanages and Christian schools that we currently assist will have hot meals.
Zambia – April 2011 Update
On April 14, 2011 Feeding The Nations and Global Assistance shipped 285,120 rice/vegetable meals. These meals are specially formulated for children who are malnurished.
Zambia – March 2011 Update
Good news! The 250,000 meals plus 6,400 bottles of vitamins shipped on December 28, 2010 arrived on March 19, 2011 to assist the 6,200 children currently supported by FTN.
On March 23, 2011 FTN teamed up with Global Samaritan Resources to ship 924,000 servings of protien fortified vegetable soup to be dispursed between the 17 orphanages and Christian schools we currently assist.
