Over the past few years, FTN has provided millions of meals to Fishers of Men Ministries (FOMM) in Port au Prince, Haiti. Currently, 2,700 children at 17 church and school locations receive a meal five days a week. These schools are in the poorest areas of Haiti. The kids receive a Christ-centered education and a vitamin-enriched meal each day.

Pastor Jay Threadgill of FOMM was recently contacted by another pastor in Mabriol where 100 students are fed daily as part of the program. The area is so poor that most people do not even eat once a day. The soil in the area is washed away because of deforestation, making it impossible to grow gardens. The pastor expressed his immense gratitude for the food they so desperately needed.

September 4, 2012: We partnered again with Fishers of Men Ministries to help provide 272,160 rice/vegetable meals donated by Feed My Starving Children. This container of food will help and bless so many needy children in the Port au Prince area.

July 3, 2012: One 40 foot shipping container filled with dried vegetable soup arrived in Port Au Prince. The Fishers of Men Ministry was very excited about the quality and quantity of the food. Over 13 different types of vegetables are in each package. The 34,875 pounds of dried vegetable soup will go a long ways to help Fishers of Men Ministries feed nearly 3,000 children daily.

From this shipment 4,878 pounds was given to help the children at Back to Life School and Orphanage in Mirebalais, Haiti.

In addition , 3,750 pounds of soup was provided to Good Samaritan Children’s Home in Trou du Nord, Haiti.

May 3, 2012: FTN shipped out of California 21.25 tons of dried vegetable soup inside 116 large barrels. This food will produce over 800,000 bowls of soup and has a value of $107,000. Over 3,000 children in Port au Prince will be helped as we partner with Fishers of Men Ministries.

On March 16th Feeding The Nations shipped 285,000 meals from Stop Hunger Now out of Marietta, GA to the devastated earthquake area of Port Au Prince where Fishers of Men Ministries continues to feed and minister to almost 3,000 children.
